i had a nice stay at the red roof inn. the hotel is dog friendly, which was a huge plus for us. the superior double room was clean and well stocked. plus, it’s reasonably close to the beach, making it easy to enjoy some sun and sand. the staff was friendly, which added to the overall pleasant vibe.

I checked in quickly and appreciated how friendly Amanda was at the front desk. She helped us find the best room for our needs, even accommodating our cats. The room was large and clean. The bed was comfortable, and the shower had good pressure. I loved having extra space for our pets. We did experience a few hiccups though. No non-smoking rooms were available, but Amanda made the most of the situation with the options we had. The free breakfast offered could’ve had more variety. It was minimal. Also, the heating didn't seem to work well, and we noticed a few outdated amenities that could use an upgrade. Despite these issues, I felt safe and secure during our stay. The overall atmosphere was welcoming, which made for a pleasant stop during our travels.

The location offers decent access to the highway, making it a convenient stop for travelers. Rooms feature a simple design and basic amenities like a fridge, catering to those just passing through.

Check-in took an hour past the posted time due to uncleaned rooms, and the back area is overgrown and littered, giving it an unsettling vibe. Notably, some rooms suffered from pest issues, specifically German roaches, which really shouldn’t be part of a stay. On top of that, room service didn't show up for days, leaving trash unattended and creating a less than pleasant environment.

The staff here were friendly, I remember the young lady at the front desk she went out of her way to make us feel welcome after the ride we had. And the room was clean as a whistle, I was actually impressed how well supplied it was.
